Hockey makes skating more exciting than ever, with Public Evening Hockey Activities offered by the Rink on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, and League Hockey from Siskiyou Ice Rink Hockey Club (SIRHOC). Youth Hockey is also offered.
Public Evening Hockey: Adult Pick-up Hockey and Stick Time Evening hockey on Mondays through Wednesdays is comprised of Adult Pick-up Hockey and Stick Time. Adult Pick-up Hockey is available for adults and advanced youths on Monday and Wednesdays 7:30 to 9:30 pm. Tuesday is "Stick Time" and is available for all ages. Stick Time is where you can practice your individual skills, get help from others, offer help to others, and participate in an all ages scrimmage. Stick Time was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but is being moved to Tuesdays in order to have Adult Pick-up Hockey on alternate days (M and W). Admission to these activities is regular rink fee ($10 for adults, $7 for teens). A special Evening Hockey Pass is also available for $99 per sason for these activities.
SIRHOC League Hockey: The adult league offers organized teams, scheduled games, and will record scores. Games are played with non checking rules, a safer version than NHL-style play.
Adult hockey league will organize into teams and play scheduled games beginning on Nov 25. To be placed on a team and play in adult league, you must signup by Nov 20. This is mainly for adults (18 and over), but advanced youth players (15 and up) are also allowed. Download the Registration Form (a pdf document below), read it, print it, and sign the waiver release. Then send to address on bottom of first page with payment. Payment is $100. If you purchase one of the season passes from the Rec District, your payment is $75. The passes from the Rec District are the evening hockey for $99 (M-W evenings), the hockey combo passes, or the season passes.

Visiting players are welcome to join Pick-Up Hockey scheduled on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Please call the Rink Info phone: 530-926-1702, for specific schedules during your visit to Mt. Shasta.
SIRHOC has a limited amout of used hockey gear available for club members. Web sites selling hockey gear include www.hockeygiant.com and www.hockey2.com. Some large sporting goods stores also have roller hockey equipment, which is very similar to ice hockey equipment.
Special hockey season passes are available and economical for hockey enthusiasts. The $99 pass provides access to hockey activities on all Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. See the Rink Home Page for pass prices.
