NOTICE OF VACANCY

Applications are now being accepted for volunteer positions on the Mt. Shasta Recreation & Parks District Board to be appointed by the county of Siskiyou. The Recreation & Parks District is classified as a "Special District" within Siskiyou County. 

The Mt. Shasta Recreation and Parks District was organized on June 21, 1948 and is the community leader in providing diverse recreational opportunities and facilities through stewardship and partnership. 

These terms will begin July 1, 2026 and expire June 30, 2030. 

The Recreation & Parks District Board is an independent Brown Act Legislative Body whose meetings are held monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at the Mt. Shasta City Park Headquarters located at 1315 Nixon Road, Mt. Shasta. Applications are being accepted from members of the community residing inside the 96067 ZIP Code.
